Khary Knowles

Khary Knowles, with over 25 years of experience in architecture and construction, is President of Knowles ICS. His proven history of restructuring businesses, programs, and projects through improved leadership, organization, and productivity gave him extensive experience in educational and business practices, including orchestrating over $1B of successful multimillion-dollar programs, projects, practices, and offices.

Khary’s start as a math teacher allowed him to experience the sub-par working and learning conditions of many schools. Seeing the impact of the negative learning environments on students and staff motivated him to earn a master’s degree in architecture. In the field of architecture, he focused on developing educational buildings and later led regional and national offices for architecture and construction management firms. Due to this success, he became the executive facilities director for San Marcos USD where his children were able to attend the schools he designed and constructed. His experience as a teacher, designer, construction manager, executive and school district facilities director enables him to connect with clients and effectively align differing agendas and perspectives successfully.

Khary earned his BS in Secondary Education from the University of Portland, a M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from Concordia University, and M. Arch (Master of Architecture) from UCLA.
