As the Undergraduate Academic Advisor and Student Services Coordinator, Angella supports students, faculty, and staff in the USP Department. Her responsibilities include advising students on USP/RED major or minor requirements, course scheduling, policies and procedures, prerequisites, and study abroad. She assists with creating the quarterly course schedule and supporting students and instructors in navigating academic policies and departmental practices. She is also a liaison for students associated with the Office for Students with Disabilities.
Angella came to the USP Department in 2023 from the UC San Diego Division of Extended Studies where she served as a Student Services Representative and worked with students, instructors, and staff across several departments. Prior to that, she was a Peer Academic Advisor at San Diego State University, which is where she earned her B.A. in Psychology with minors in Counseling and Social Change and Cultural Competency. Angella's time as a peer advisor is when she discovered her passion for working with students and helping them achieve their educational goals.
