2023 Urban Expo Ceremony and Student Projects
On Thursday, March 16, 2023, UC San Diego's Urban Studies and Planning Department will host the 33rd Annual Urban Expo event with a 5p Keynote, by Mai Nguyen, UC San Diego Professor and Director of the Design Lab, and Awards Ceremony.

- 2p Ballroom opens for poster viewing
- 3:30-4:30p Photographer available for students to take a professional photo with in Ballroom
- 4p Students at posters for Q&A
- 5p Keynote and Awards Ceremony
- Reception, with appetizers and desserts, following ceremony until 7:30p
Directions and Parking information
Friends, family, and mentors of USP and RED capstone students who are not able to attend in person can watch the awards live streamed starting at 5pm, return to this webpage for an updated link closer to the event.
The Expo is a unique event that brings together students, faculty, staff, and the San Diego community to celebrate the research capstone projects of Urban Studies & Planning and Real Estate & Development graduating students.
