As the Director of Industry Relations and Student Professional Development Jennifer works closely with undergraduate students, USP faculty and staff, community partners in the government, non-profit, and private sectors, and university administrators. Duties include serving as undergraduate career counselor; building relationships with community partners; developing and monitoring internship opportunities and placements; assisting with the development, planning, and implementation of the annual EXPO capstone showcase; and assisting with the development of policies and procedures related to the Department’s experiential learning curriculum.

Jennifer came to the USP Department in 2021 from the UC San Diego Structural Engineering Department where she served as an undergraduate advisor.  She has held a variety of positions at UCSD, UCSD Extension, Ashford University, and San Diego State University including work in academic advising, program management, financial aid advising, activities and events, student conduct, student organizations and leadership, and student employee management.

Jennifer frequents San Diego’s beaches, bays, parks, and trails as much as possible and loves being outdoors.  If you need or have any recommendations on trails to explore – let her know! She enjoys hiking, biking, running, picnics, podcasts, reading, arts and crafts, kickball, and game nights.
