As the Undergraduate Student Services Advisor, Dawn advises on topics such as classes, course plans, study abroad, petitions, and research opportunities. You can make a one-on-one 30-minute academic advising appointment with Dawn to discuss your questions and create an academic plan for fulfillment of your degree requirements. Dawn comes to the department as a recent transplant from Rochester, NY, where she previously taught art history at Monroe Community College for sixteen years. Prior to her teaching career, she worked for the University of California (UCSB, UC Berkeley, and UCSD) for many years in various student affairs and advising positions. Dawn holds a B.S. in Marketing from Penn State University and a Master’s Degree in Art History from San Diego State University.

Dawn has two college-aged daughters; one is a sophomore at Stanford and one is a freshman at Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Geneva, NY. She also has a 5-year old Chocolate lab named Luna who loves going to Dog Beach! A lover of the beach, sunshine, dog parks, coffee shops, and Mexican food, Dawn spends her weekends exploring San Diego and surrounding areas.
