Khary Knowles

Khary Knowles, with over 20 years of experience in architecture & construction, is President of Knowles ICS. His proven history of restructuring businesses, programs, and projects through improved leadership, organization, and productivity gave him extensive experience in educational and business practices, orchestrating successful multimillion-dollar programs, practices, and offices.

Khary’s start as a math teacher allowed him to experience the terrible working and learning conditions of many schools. Seeing the impact of the negative environment on students and staff motivated him to earn a master’s degree in architecture. As an architect he focused on educational buildings and later led business development for an architecture firm. Due to this success, he became the executive facilities director for San Marcos USD where his children were able to attend schools he designed. His experience as a teacher, architect, construction manager, and district facilities director enables him to connect with clients and effectively align district agendas successfully.

Khary earned his BS in Secondary Education from the University of Portland, a M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from Concordia University, and a Master of Architecture from UCLA.
